IPS provides comprehensive training on the functionality of the IC4U/AC3S. The 5-day course provides participants with a basic understanding of the IC4U/AC3S and is a combination of classroom and hands-on training. Participants will study the major components of the IC4U/AC3S and successfully deploy, set up, establish a local area network (LAN), successfully conduct reachback communications, and perform basic troubleshooting of all major components. This course provides operators with the fundamental concepts of preparing equipment for transportation by air, road mobility, and support in deployments.
Summary
IC4U/AC3S is an advanced platform that satisfies the needs of voice, data and video communication. This course provides a basic overview of all the capabilities and equipment that make up the IC4U/AC3S. Once the capability is set up, you and your team can immediately engage in transmitting and receiving critical information to off-site personnel to facilitate emergency procedures.
General Interoperability Operations
This module provides participants with practical hands-on demonstrations of the various configurations available of the IC4U/AC3S to rapidly deploy, set up, and demonstrate the flexibility of the IC4U/AC3S to complement the wide variety of command and control techniques used by first responders and other agencies.
Communication Interoperability
Understand the radio capabilities and procedures that are required to successfully bridge disparate communications devices utilizing the IC4U/AC3S capability. Understand the unique features of the IC4U/AC3S.
Satellite Reachback Communications
This module introduces the basic concepts and techniques required to deploy the satellite dish. This portion of training also covers troubleshooting the satellite controller as well as electrical and mechanical parts.
Video Camera Deployment and Use
This module provides participants a basic understanding of the video components, video recording and editing techniques, storage options and troubleshooting the reachback connection.
Performance Test and Operator Evaluation
Participants will be teamed together and required to demonstrate the ability to successfully deploy, set-up, establish reachback communications, and perform general troubleshooting techniques.
